Aaron Van Hanek is a Toronto-based cinematographer. He attended the Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts’ Film Program, where he developed a strong foundation in cinematic technique and artistic vision.
For a number of years, he split his time between working on various productions in Toronto and as a documentary filmmaker in Interior B.C., before participating in the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity's Adventure Filmmaking Workshop. During this time, he honed his ability to capture the beauty of both the natural world and human experience.
Whether it be narrative, documentary, or commercial, he combines technical skills with a collaborative spirit, dedicated to bringing directors' visions to life.
